I've been here twice, breakfast the first time and lunch the second time. It doesn't look like much from the outside -- kind-of old fashioned. But the food has been delicious every time! The wait staff are all very friendly and smiling. I recommend the cranberry pecan grilled chicken salad -- big chicken breast on it that tasted great with the sugared pecans -- lots of goodies in the salad! You can't go wrong with anything on the breakfast menu either. I had a little bit of everything and it was awesome!!
Had grits and eggs, soft scramble, my test for the cook. Failed, but she was kind and did her best. Service was quick. This is the local equivalent of a community Denny's, with a white-haired, rural clientele. No real butter. The ad video was more interesting and informative than the Fox news coming from the television, but both told stories about the local area that provide a window into the lives of the people living in a place through which I merely pass. Oklahoma is OK by me.
Hard to beat if you're in Pryor. Great food and the girls do a good job taking care of you.
The chicken strips and fries were good.... then we ordered 4 pieces of pie and 1 chocolate cake. They didn’t have any of the desserts listed on the menu and my friend didn’t get her meal as ordered. I was really looking forward to eating there as I had been there with my folks when I was a kid and was taking my grandkids for their first “Thomas’” experience. I will go back next time I’m in Mayes county:)
Nice home-cooked food. Chicken fried steak was delicious. Homemade breading was great. Water tasted terrible so suggest coffee or soda. Mac and cheese side was good. Fries and onion rings were good.
